Het kasteel werd halverwege de 16e eeuw herbouwd vanuit een oudere residentie. Na 1683 werd het gebouw aangekocht door het kapittel van St. Het verwelkomt de Praagse Burcht en gaf het kasteel zijn huidige viervleugelige uiterlijk. Het kapittel bezat het kasteel tot het einde van de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Het kasteel werd in 1949 genationaliseerd en behoorde tot de jaren negentig toe aan een plaatselijke landbouwcoöperatie. In december 1996 kocht Ladislav Truhlář het kasteel van het dorp, dat de zetel letterlijk nieuw leven inblies.

Tegenwoordig doet het kasteel dienst als gastenverblijf. Het is echter een geschikte plek voor het organiseren van verschillende sociale evenementen zoals bruiloften, feesten, feesten, diploma-uitreikingen, bedrijfsevenementen, enz. Sinds september 2013 bieden we ook het hele jaar door rondleidingen door het onlangs gerenoveerde kasteel, de kapel en kamers met gerestaureerde fresco’s uit 1758 door Jan Václav Spitzer.
